1. A shadow meets his eclipsed love
They join together as soil with a flower
Together they frolic under the midnight skies above
For in the day their light holds no power
2. They must meet in secrecy bearing no witness
For their love is forbidden like sunshine in the rain
Yet there are days when the Sky cries tears of bliss
When the tempest Sun bears Earth its deepest pain
3. The rain pours hard creating a stream of sorrow
The clouds manifest, concealing its true desire
His heart turns cold, as rain does to ice; the shards empty and hollow
Frozen is her beauty; trapped without his fire
4. Negligent are they like stones on a path
The road less traveled like a leaf in the wind
Never will they know his unnatural wrath
The Sun must shine after all, not burn; therefore he turns to the ocean within
5. The azure waters bear no conscience; they are without memory
Perhaps there lies salvation; the freedom and longing to be one
The crimson Sky, it radiates as the night glows white with glee
Midnight desires emerge, eclipsed eternally as Moon and Sun

One-Winged Angels
My very first poem-- wrote it when I was 17
-Above the skies and mountains atop
I once flew freely, majestically I soared
Until the day I fell from grace, banished as I began to drop
The clouds quickly parted, bearing its crimson visage of forgotten lore
Revealing to me God's eye of truth, the judgment passed on many before
-He said to me, “Thou hath sinned! Your heart lies in forbidden love!”
He cast my body, mind and soul away from his sky-bound realm
Pain then struck, as I was forever exiled from the lands above
My pale white wings had now been shadowed, as black as Satan’s very helm
I hit the earth hard, I had been sentenced to an eternal Hell
-My crime was simply loving the very soul which shared my own
Where was she now? Far away from any feeling that I might know
As I arose, I realized my once glorious wings were torn
I was nothing more than a man apart, a fallen angel with no soul
I was now a bastard, a Satanist who had defied his given role
-I wandered the land, in search of a new purpose and goal
This place was barren, dry and grim, lacking of any sanity
As I looked toward the horizon I thought my eyes were no longer whole
For I had found my long lost love, truly and clearly it was she
She had given up her sanctity, the ultimate price to be with me
-“Oh, my love, what a sight to behold these weary and distraught eyes!
But why are you here? Are you an illusion, or as real as the love we shared?”
“I couldn’t bear to be without you, I payed no attention to their lies
For you I would defy anyone, man or God. Heaven or Hell, I just don’t care
Now let us fly away, one winged angels, feathers engraved across horizon skies”
